Sarah Hampton Laplante,

L.Ac. M.Ac.

Sarah Hampton Laplante M.Ac. L.Ac. graduated from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture (Gainesville, FL) with a Master's degree in Acupuncture and a Certificate in Chinese Herbal Studies.

Sarah began studying Taoist 5 Element Acupuncture under Laura Barnard Stelmok in 2008 and became inspired by the depth, beauty, and transformational capacity of this ancient system of Medicine.  Since obtaining her Master's degree, she is continuing her post-graduate studies with The Unseen Hand: Medicine from Antiquity and remains a devoted student of Laura Barnard Stelmok.

Sarah Hampton Laplante has lived in New York City since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University in 2002.  She began working at Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, a contemporary art gallery, in 1999 and worked full-time as both Archivist and Public Relations Director for over ten years, while also maintaining her own art practice.  Sarah is deeply committed to the place where medicine and the arts come together.

Sarah has experienced firsthand the benefits of acupuncture.  After fracturing several vertebrae in 2003 and experiencing excruciating back pain, Sarah exhausted western medical treatments and therapy and turned to acupuncture.  Miraculously, her back pain, along with a number of other longstanding minor health related concerns were resolved, including frequent headaches and digestion issues.  Most importantly, however, with the help of Taoist Medicine and her Teachers, Sarah has and continues to learn what it means to follow and to live in and with life.  Through acupuncture, she has experienced profound transformation which has facilitated a deeper capacity to love, a constant state of awe, and a restored sense of ease in life.
